Abstract
The development of health has been a high priority in recent years in Ghana. In spite of concentrated efforts to establish health consciousness in the country, the health of the population has not improved and trends in mortality and morbidity are still unfavourable. People need to know what they can do to remain healthy or to restore their health if they fall sick. The aims of this research is to help inculcate in Ghanaians the habit of keeping in good health conditions in the environment, and also help eliminate environmental health hazards in the country. The research of the project was conducted through library studies, personal interviews, critical observation and personal experiences. The judicious use of illustration with a few texts is intended to sustain profound interest in the reader of the primer.
