Abstract
Since the early nineteenth century, when the industrial revolution took off, industrialization has been regarded as the panaceas to underdevelopment, the key to the improvement of living standards of societies. The economic development of the advanced countries can be largely attributed to their industrial programmes viz. West Germany, Britain, Japan, U.S.A, France and U.S.S.R. industrialization has therefore been adopted in most developing countries including Ghana.
