Abstract
The main objective of this work is to try to make the learning of French more attractive to workers in Ghana. French is important to Ghanaians considering the fact that Ghana shares her borders with francophone countries. This makes contacts with francophone businessmen or tourists inevitable. It has been noted that, despite the obvious importance of the French language to Ghanaians, the language policy in Ghana does not favour its learning at all levels of the educational system. Ghanaian professionals, aware of the necessity of the French Language, are making efforts to learn it. Unfortunately, most of the teachers have no special training to meet their specific needs. In the light of the difficulties in the area of French for Specific Purposes, this research work attempts to find solutions to some of the problems identified. It proposes among others, examples of French programmes for teachers of F.O.S.
