|Abstract: ||Cereals have remained the major energy source in pig diets with maize being the most common and can constitute about 60% of the diet. However it can be quite expensive at certain times of the year because of a wide variety of reasons. It is therefore pertinent to identify and characterize cheaper and readily available alternative sources of energy for compounding pig rations.|
