Abstract
Consumption is a very important aspect of human life that cannot easily be done away with. It is therefore the aim of this paper to determine the consumption funtion of Ghana under the permanent Income Hypothesis. The paper goes further to test whether consumption is influenced by some behavioral tendencies like the conspicious consumption and the bandwagen effect of consumption.
