Abstract: This paper has looks at the different ways pisteu, ete in John 14:1 has been rendered in some Ghanaian mother tongue translations. It posits that Bible translation is not a static adventure; it is dynamic, and its dynamism creates meaning from forms of words, to communicate messages to reading communities. The religio-cultural context of reading communities cannot be thrown away when translating the Bible for them. A translation team’s knowledge of the context of a people group helps to make a translation relevant to them.
