Traditional painting has existed with mankind with the aid of hand held tools or brushes. Now, many creative artists are using the computer to create paintings which is giving room for more freedom for expression. The study is about producing digital landscape water colour paintings to whip up enthusiasm. By digitizing manually created water colour paintings and completing them with computer virtual tools. It was found that only 29% painted digitally for exploration, experimental or for its comfort and 71% of the respondents of paintings executed are for academic reasons. The findings mean that there is still the need for in engaging the digital tools for painterly expression.en_US
