This thesis deals with a mine sampling design using geostatistics at Tarkwa Goldfield. The sampling operation at Tarkwa Goldfielfds was studied in order to know the sampling pattern that is the way the samples are taken and the interval at which the samples are placed. Development channel sample values were taken from four drives at the west reef west limb section, of Tarkwa Goldfields Limited. Classical statistics was employed in analysing the data thus paving the way for the application of geostatistical techriiques, to determine an optical sampling interval for development sampling.en_US
