An integrated approach to orebody modelling for mine planning and design
    (1993) Kofie, Joshua Godwill
Effective exploitation of mineral deposits depends to a large extent on the accurate modelling of the orehodies within it. In this thesis, various concepts of orebody modelling such as sectional, block and wireframe concepts have been reviewed. The string notion, which integrates the various concepts of orebody modelling within the framework of the SURPAC mining sotftware has been explained. The string concept has been used to model the Akof Golden deposit which is a hypothetical mine. The integration of standard exploration data consisting of lithological, survey and assay information to obtain accurate orebody model has been demonstrated.
