The awakening, of the fashion industry in Ghana, to its potential, has its roots in the works also of people like Casely Hayford, a designer for Princess Diana and Oswald Boateng of saville row fame also a designer in the upper echelons of a very discriminate European aristocracy. It is, against this backdrop, that the association of fashion designers in order to achieve a hold over a large potential markets internationally need machinery for trade exposes, orientation of trends and general publicity. These intentions require the framework of special considerations, hence the decision of the association to get its own premises.
