    Pig production in Ghana is increasing at an unprecedented pace under intensive farming conditions. With this shift, farmers have adopted the use of antibiotics for the prophylaxis and treatment of pig diseases; creating a concern that their handling practices could affect the susceptibilities of pathogens to these antibiotics.
