On the other hand, the number of health personnel such as nurses has reduced due to brain drain. In this study we address an aspect of the problem of increased pressure on heath personnel nurses at Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital (KATH) by coming out with an optimum schedule of work using an integer programming model. On the construction and implementation of such a model, it was found that the number of shifts for all the nine wards had drastically reduced. This project is about Optimal Work Schedule For Nurses At A Regional Hospital. As a case study data was collected from the Surgical Wards of Komfo Anokye Teaching Hospital(KATH) Kumasi.
