Abstract
Many Ghanaians both in the formal sector and the informal sector take loans for various reasons some being investment in businesses or their wards education. Others also take loans to acquire personal properties such as houses and cars. Most people rely on Banks for Loans. Due to poor allocation of funds by most banks to prospective loan seekers the banks are not able to maximize their profits. In view of this monies that can be used for social services in the community in which they operate go into bad debt. The main aim of this work is to develop Linear Programming model to help the Atweaban Rural Bank at Duayaw Nkwanta in the Tano North District of the Brong Ahafo Region to allocate their funds to prospective loan seekers in order for them to maximize their profits.
