dc.description.abstractSocial, financial and environmental problems have become increasingly complex, forcing organizations to innovate, deal with change and undertake fresh activities. For this reason, the construction industry known to use majority of the earth’s resources is now integrating principles of sustainability in its processes. It is in the same way that Project Management process have also adopted the use of sustainable principles in managing projects in Ghana. The ultimate aim of this study is to explore the practice of sustainability in project management and it is supported by certain outlined objectives. The study will be useful to professionals in the housing industry since it will enlighten them on the extent to which they can practice the concept in their industry. With the use of both quantitative and qualitative data (questionnaires and interviews respectively) and secondary data (available literature), the researcher was able to arrive at certain findings by analyzing them with software such as SPSS as well as descriptive analysis. The study found that sustainable project management principles practiced in housing projects generally have a positive impact on those project. It identified the sustainable practices that dominate the project management discipline currently Consequently, incorporating the sustainability concept will have great benefits on the housing project such as reduction in wastage on project resources and there would be a general reduction in the prices of housing units.en_US
